Terminology Used This Calculator

Standing Reach => Measure this by standing side on to a wall and reach up as high as you can.

Height of Rim => Normal basketball rim is 10 feet.

Extra Reach for Dunk => Normal extra reach for dunk is 6 inches. (Extra space between fingertips and rim you need to finish a dunk.

Hang Time => Time a jumper spends in the air between takeoff and landing.

Effective Hang Time => Time a jumper spends in the air between takeoff and last moment his/her hands are high enough to finish a dunk.

Takeoff Verlocity => Vertical Velocity of a jumper at takeoff.

Dunking: It is performed when a player jumps in the air, controls the ball above the horizontal plane of the rim, and scores by putting the ball directly through the basket with one or both hands.

360° Windmill: It is a type of dunk where the player brings the ball up to their waste, then moves their arm straight back and up in a circular motion until they dunk the ball over their head.
